The article presents the results of studying the impact of tricresyl phosphate on certain properties of nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) reinforced with technical carbon black. The results indicate that the sample achieves the best mechanical strength at a carbon black content of 60 pph. Additionally, the effect of tricresyl phosphate is compared with other common plasticizers such as tributyl phosphate, dioctyl phthalate, and dioctyl sebacate. The findings show that these plasticizers reduce tensile strength and hardness while increasing the elongation at break of the material. Moreover, the flame retardant properties of the rubber samples is evaluated through the limiting oxygen index (LOI) and horizontal burning rate, providing important information for the development of rubber materials based on nitrile butadiene rubber.
