Abstract

An energy security plays an extremely important role in economic development as well as ensuring political stability and independent autonomy of the nation. The safe operation of power plants, ensuring the stability of the electricity system has a decisive factor to electricity energy security. In the paper, the method of applying SVC compensation device to the mitigation of the SSR problem in electrical power system is introduced. The control diagram, simulation model applied to IEEE standard grid are presented and its analysis and evaluation have proved the validity of the proposed method.
