Abstract

The article presents how to calculate and design the compact dual FOV infrared optical system in the spectral region (8-14)µm with only three lenses and a germanium material. The optical system has a fairly simple structure, and the imaging quality of the optical system at the two fields of view is very good, close to the diffraction limit. In particular, with its compact size, the optical system is designed to be suitable for the application of improving mixed day and night observation equipment.
