The effectiveness of the proposed alternative filters is validated through extensive simulations and experiments in the 5G scenarios at waveform 2K. The results show that the alternative filters can improve the spectral containment capability of a filtered-OFDM signal by more than 100 dB when compared to an OFDM signal.
