Abstract

In this paper, we further clarify the theoretical basis of the S-box construction method of Menyachikhin [2]. Our contribution is to prove that if we transpose two special locations in a given S-box, we will obtain a new S-box with a better maximum differential probability (the same with maximum linear deviation).
