Abstract

Chalcogen materials were researched about 50 years ago, but it was not until the last few decades that Chalcogen glass materials were manufactured and applied in optoelectronics. This article presents some properties and potential applications of Chalcogen materials in the design and fabrication of optics for thermal imaging devices and provides the research results for the design of thermal imaging optics using Chalcogen materials.
