Abstract

In recent years, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have been greatly appreciated by scientists thanks to their outstanding properties such as large surface area, porous structure, high electrical conductivity, light and durability. With these properties, CNTs are widely used in different fields, especially in the field of environment used as adsorbents. In this research, CNTs were synthesized on Ferrocene (C10H10Fe)/Aluminum (Al) catalyst by the chemical vapor deposition method (CVD) using acetylene (C2H2) gas as a carbon source. The images obtained by the scanning electron microscopy (SEM) showed that CNTs products have a resonably uniform tube diameter, the average tube size of 30nm. The BET specific surface area of the product reaches a relatively large 240m2/g.
